The Keeton Wedding

We attended the wedding reception for Dave and Robin on Saturday. Dave and Jesse have been friends for along time and now they work together. Robin is so nice and even got Dave to start attending church. They make a great couple and Dave will be a great dad to Robin's daughter, Sydnee. We had a wonderful time with all our friends. We don't see each other as much as we use to, but that will be changing because we have a wedding in June and October and then everyone, but Andy will be married!!!

The bride and grooms first dance. Dave sang a song (I can't remember which one!!) to Robin.

The bride and groom had to stop their dancing to pick up Lili who didn't understand why Dave wouldn't want her!!! They continued their dance with an extra!
Our friends Andy, Danielle, and Joe. Joe and Danielle are the next to get married in June.

They had karaoke so Jesse sang 'Every Rose Has a Thorn' by request of Katie.
Everyone dancing while my handsome husband sang.

The bride and groom requested 'Ice Ice Baby' which Kevin and Katie happily sang AFTER a number of drinks!! Kevin and Katie are getting married in October.

Lili Danced the night away.

Kat loved all the kids and had fun dancing. She even asked to sing, but the machine messed up just before Jesse and her sang 'From My Front Porch Looking In.' And yes she know the song!

Katie and Lili.

I should mention that Dave and Robin met at the bar and there is karaoke there on the weekends so that was the inspiration for the karaoke.

We're so happy for them and wish them the best. Dave and Robin- may God bless your life together for all the years to come!!!

I really do love my kids and husband, I DO really!!

Yesterday was a HORRIBLE day. After spending the weekend in KC with my family my children turned into little troublemakers and today isn't starting much better!!

Kathryn (who can sleep through the night and not wet the bed) had 3 accidents yesterday. We had no accidents while we were gone this weekend, but for some reason she finds it hard to make it to the bathroom at home, but woke me up in the middle to go potty! It is extremely frustrating!

Lorelai spent the day whining because no one was paying attention to her (or so she thought). She has become more of a cry baby lately and Jesse and I are trying hard to make her talk so that doesn't continue. Lili has also started climbing on anything and everything and a number of times yesterday I heard her crying and went to investigate only to find her stuck on top of something.

Kathryn made her way into to the kitchen several times while I was busy and made herself and Lili a 'snack.' This means that she put crackers in their play dishes and served them; therefore making a mess all over the kitchen and living room floors. At least she was sharing!

Finally I made my way downstairs yesterday (I was putting laundry away) when Kat told me NOT to come down because they weren't finished yet. "Finished with what?" was my first question as I headed down the stairs to figure out what in the world they could be up to. The newly painted basement door was covered in green crayon and the wall and couch were colored in every other color in the rainbow. I had forgotten that I left crayons on the counter to take to the basement and Kat was in the kitchen 'exploring' again only this time she didn't come out with food. Baby gates really aren't worth the money!!!!

On top of everything the house was a disaster because Jesse promised to do a few things while I was gone, but put them off and then ended up sick on Sunday!!! I'm still working on the house, but once I get behind at all it takes days if not weeks to catch up. It really irritated me yesterday that I have a dishwasher sitting at the farm just waiting for the new kitchen which would save me soooo much work. Oh, and I need to go to the grocery store, but need to balance the checkbook and do bills first!!! Will it ever end!!!

I love my kids and my husband, but sometimes being an adult really STINKS!!!!! I feel for all of the stay-at-home-moms that might come across this. I don't think anyone except for another stay-at-home-mom knows all the things we do and if your husbands are workaholics like mine it's even worse. Now it's time to be in the fields so we won't see much of Jesse for awhile so more little attitudes for me to deal with alone!

Oh, by the way Kat got into the marshmallows while I was in the shower this morning. Great start to our Tuesday!!!

Thanks for letting me vent!!!!

Easter, Snow, and Preschool Stake-out

He IS Risen!!! Christ gave us the perfect example of love and this year it is more real to me than ever. I can't imagine more love than what I feel for my two little girls or even my husband and it is hard to understand that God loves me even more than I love them. God's love is perfect. He has given me the greatest gift "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not parish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16. I have Hope in Him. I have Trust in Him. I have Life in Him. I am because of Him.

We had a perfect and busy Easter weekend. It was so wonderful to see family and friends and to start feeling the relaxed pace of spring. Friday we went to see Jesse's cousins Mike and John. We use to see them all the time, but distance and jobs make it hard to get together very often. We had a fun time catching up. Lili really loved the attention and in the first 5 minutes even made it into the dog kennel!! She thought it was great and I thought "perfect size, hum..."!!!!

The girls looked extra cute Sunday in dresses and hats that Grandma Gail made them. I wish it had been warmer so they could have stayed in them longer. We hunted for Easter eggs as soon as we got the girls in warmer clothes (it was breezy and cool). The girls had so much fun and so did my mom. Their Easter baskets were overflowing and even Daddy got one (but not Mom!). As tradition we spent the afternoon at Grandma Ellen's house with Jesse's family. We ended the night with a huge fire to finish burning out the stump in the yard. It was a nice change for the evening and a perfect family time.

After the perfect weekend (not including the weather) we woke up to snow on Monday. It's April doesn't Mother Nature know that!!! I'm glad it stop by Monday night because this morning I had to be at the preschool at 5am to hopefully get Kat a spot in the 3 year old class. I wasn't the first one there (eight people were in front of me), but Kathryn has a spot for next year. There is only one preschool in town that offers preschool to 3 year olds and with only 12 spots and over 30 applications passed out we are lucky.

Well, that's what we've been doing. Hope you had a wonderful celebration of the resurrection of our Lord!!!!

Cuter Than Most

Lorelai

Lorelai dancingLili likes books

The girls love playing together

Lorelai is our second born and lately I feel as though she misses out on a lot. Kat gets top billing most of the time and although I am a stickler for fairness it seems like Lili is still left out. I was also the second born with an older sister and two younger brothers so I know all about hand-me-downs and such.

Lorelai is the sweetest cutest baby. She is soft and cuddly, but she knows all this so at times it gets her in trouble!!! Lili has yet to talk... well, besides Da da. Oh, she jabbers all time and Kathryn just taught her how to scream. She just started dancing and is super cute moving her chubby little arms in the air and trying to shake her bum!!! Jesse says that I spoil her (I spoil both of them -just look at their room!!), but she is my baby.

I sent Kat off a lot while Lili is napping and Kat gets to do all these wonderful things with her Grandmas and Daddy and Lili sleeps through it all. I feel guilty that she doesn't get the one on one time with her dad and grandmas. The one time I sent her off with Dad his truck quit and he spent all afternoon trying to fix it with her screaming in the truck and THEN he ran her into a tree when they walked to get parts!!! Poor thing. I tell myself that she got Dad and Uncle Kevin all to herself, but I'm sure she doesn't remember that!

I know in the future I will struggle more. The girls are so close in age that it would be easy just to let Lili follow Kat, but know she should wait for most things. There will always be things that Kat gets that Lili doesn't, but I'm going to make sure that Lorelai gets a few things that Kathryn doesn't.
I love the girls dearly and am so thankful for both of them. I love that they are the same sometimes and extremely different at others. I wonder what the next few years will bring? Not sure that I'm ready!!!!!

Random Pictures

Here are some random pictures of the girls from the past few weeks. Hope you enjoy

They're watching cartoons and waiting for Mommy and Daddy to go to Grandpa Ed's birthday party.

At Grandpa Ed's b-day party. They are Grandma's girls most of the time.
This is after Kat spent the night with Grammy Robin. She came right home (at like 11:00) and put pjs on and well... this! She so funny and would wear those pjs everyday if I didn't take them!!
The girls get along great and love dancing, hugging, and goofing off together!

This is Lili when we were dancing. So cute!!!
